LUXURY TRANSATLANTIC CRUISE FROM

CAPE VERDE TO THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Embark on a memorable voyage with Valinor!

Every November, our luxury yacht will set off on a transatlantic cruise from the Cape Verde to the Caribbean. This sailing trip is designed for adventurers at heart or those needing a digital detox getaway that want to travel in style and splendor.

Prepare for a journey spanning 17-23 days at sea, primarily under sail as we harness fair trade winds for downwind travel. Your adventure starts when you arrive on Cape Verde for briefing and preparations on the Monday of calendar week 44. We usually depart from port on Wednesday and set sail for the first destination on our itinerary.

This odyssey will be a sail-centric experience where encounters with other vessels will be rare, and the distant view of planes overhead is but a sporadic occurrence. It’s the perfect way to unplug and unwind while making our way speedily across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and the British Virgin Islands. Along the way and once in Caribbean waters, we’ll anchor at exceptional secluded islands, make port at vibrant coastal cities, and visit the most iconic tourist destinations.

A memorable transatlantic journey awaits you this November. Come sail with Valinor for the experience of a lifetime!

If we find ourselves here, you may just be lucky enough to hear Mindelo’s signature live music called morna, a soulful Cape Verdean genre at local bars, restaurants, or even at beaches like Laginha Beach. OVERVIEW

              THE ROUTE

As we depart from Tenerife, we turn our sails westward to take full advantage of the trade winds. However, depending on wind directions and weather forecast, we can elect to either take a more direct route or take a detour to the south for a stopover in Cabo Verde. Overall, we would sail somewhere around 2,900 - 3,200 nautical miles.

              Always IN good company

For every voyage, Valinor carefully vets and handpicks every member of the crew that will accompany you. We make sure that our personnel pass muster and are well equipped to provide the level of quality of experience our distinguished clientele expects from us.

We also vary crew composition from time to time depending on who will fit your needs better, who has the superior know how of a particular destination, and so fixed crews can have a dedicated time off to rest in between the seasons.
