LUXURY TRANSATLANTIC CRUISE FROM

TENERIFE TO THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Embark on a memorable voyage with Valinor!

Every November, our luxury yacht will set off on a transatlantic cruise from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, while anchoring at some of the most iconic destinations along the way. This sailing trip is designed for adventurers at heart or those needing a digital detox getaway that want to travel in style and splendor.

Prepare for a journey spanning 17-23 days at sea, primarily under sail as we harness fair trade winds for downwind travel. Your adventure starts when you arrive on Tenerife for briefing and preparations on the Monday of calendar week 44. We usually depart from port on Wednesday and set sail for the first destination on our itinerary.

This odyssey will be a sail-centric experience where encounters with other vessels will be rare, and the distant view of planes overhead is but a sporadic occurrence. It’s the perfect way to unplug and unwind while making our way speedily across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and the British Virgin Islands. Along the way, we’ll anchor at exceptional secluded islands, make port at vibrant coastal cities, and visit the most iconic tourist destinations.

A memorable transatlantic journey awaits you this November. Come sail with Valinor for the experience of a lifetime!

      STOP 1

      LA GOMERA

La Gomera is a verdant paradise with lush landscapes, remote beaches, and crystalline blue waters perfect for snorkeling and observing underwater fauna. Head down to San Sebastián for lunch and indulge in the exquisite flavors of Canarian cuisine. Then, make your way to Garajonay National Park to take a relaxing hike through a gorgeous volcanic landscape against a stunning coastal backdrop.

      STOP 2

      EL HIERRO

Our next destination is El Hierro, the smallest and most remote of the Canary Islands. This secluded paradise features rugged coastlines, pristine beaches, and an incomparable laid-back ambiance. It’s also a marine reserve, which pretty much guarantees wildlife encounters while you’re snorkeling. When you’ve gotten your fill of whale or dolphin watching, explore hidden coves or visit villages like Valverde.

                    OVERVIEW

                    THE ROUTE

As we depart from Tenerife, we turn our sails westward to take full advantage of the trade winds. However, depending on wind directions and weather forecast, we can elect to either take a more direct route or take a detour to the south for a stopover in Cabo Verde. Overall, we would sail somewhere around 2,900 - 3,200 nautical miles.
