THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
This week-long jaunt around the British Virgin Islands is one of Valinor’s suggested routes for families and couples. As always though, itineraries, charter durations, and tours can be tailored to your preferences. We can even arrange one-way trips and pickups from the US Virgin Islands and St. Maarten or Martinique and Guadeloupe.
Day 1
COOPER ISLAND
SAILING TIME: 1 HOUR
DISTANCE: 8 NM
The first day of sailing takes us to the enchanting and secluded Cooper Island. There’s only one luxurious private resort in the island that features a tranquil beach. For those looking for underwater fun—head to Cistern Point, a great snorkeling spot frequented by sea turtles and Wreck Alley to explore three shipwrecks at depths ranging from 50 to 85 feet.
Day 2
Virgin Gorda
SAILING TIME: 2 HOURS
DISTANCE: 14 NM
The Baths at Virgin Gorda is a natural wonder featuring boulders and caverns that form a maze that leads to the secret rock pools like the Cathedral Room and the Devil’s Gorge. After a day of hiking and swimming, sample the island’s culinary delights at renowned restaurants like Coco Maya and The Restaurant at Leverick Bay while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
Day 3
ANEGADA
SAILING TIME: 2 HOURS
DISTANCE: 16 NM
The crown jewel of the Virgin Islands, Anegada boasts a coastline adorned with pristine white sand beaches nestled in the protective embrace of the Horseshoe Reef to the north. Venture farther inland to the salt lakes and watch flamingos gracefully strut by, sail to the manmade marvel of Conch Island, and embark on a snorkeling adventure at Loblolly Bay.
Day 4
MARINA CAY
SAILING TIME: 3 HOURS
DISTANCE: 22 NM
Marina Cay is a small, enchanting island with a colorful history that has managed to attract the attention of Hollywood and nature enthusiasts alike. Its claim to fame is its resort that features the iconic Pusser’s Bar & Grill where you can wine and dine on relaxing sundecks. Overall, Marina Cay’s laid-back ambiance offers the perfect opportunity to unwind and unplug.
Day 5
JOST VAN DYKE ISLAND
SAILING TIME: 2 HOURS
DISTANCE: 16 NM
At the very heart of the British Islands lies Jost Van Dyke Island, a tropical wonderland known for its white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant Caribbean culture. Stroll along its idyllic shoreline, go on a snorkeling adventure, hit up beachside shacks for some delectable Caribbean dishes, and finally visit the Soggy Dollar Bar for their signature cocktail the Panikiller.
Day 6
NORMAN ISLAND
SAILING TIME: 2 HOURS
DISTANCE: 12 NM
Believed to be the inspiration behind the timeless classic ‘Treasure Island,’ stretch of land is a treasure trove of underwater wonders. Get your snorkeling gear ready and take a thrilling dive into hidden caves at Treasure Point in privateer bay where you’ll be treated to a kaleidoscope of colors—coral formations, a group of stingrays, and schools of fish.
Day 7
TORTOLA
SAILING TIME: 1 HOUR
DISTANCE: 8 NM
This seven-day voyage ends on Tortola, the largest island in the BVI. You can begin your day at Cane Garden Bay where you can take a refreshing morning swim before heading to Sebastian’s on the Beach for a drink. Alternatively, you can go to Callwood Rum Distillery, the oldest rum distillery in the entire Caribbean.

Skipper / Captain
StjepanBorn with an unquenchable spirit for exploration and a taste for adventure, Stjepan has always been drawn to exciting pursuits like speleology, rafting, kayaking, free climbing, diving, and martial arts all his life. So, it’s only natural that he gravitated to sailing.
He first fell in love with sailing during his time as an archaeologist, embarking on an epic voyage across the Mediterranean and tracing the routes of ancient Phoenicians and Greeks. Since then, he’s been chasing the horizon at the helm of ships in search of his next adventure.
With his background in archaeology and numerous years of experience sailing in the BVI and the USVI, Stjepan is an accomplished sailor well versed in local history. He has sailed more than 15,000 nautical miles across the Caribbean, Atlantic, and Mediterranean and can speak fluent English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Croatian.
Chef / Hostess
ANAAna has always been passionate about food and travel. She firmly believes that food—freshly made and lovingly prepared—is the best way to fully experience different cultures.
She’s enjoyed the street food in Thailand and India, embarked on a food safari in Africa, hunted for rare cheeses in France and Switzerland, sailed to the Mediterranean in search of spices and seafood, and even partook in Middle Eastern festivities for a taste of their cuisine.
Outside her gastronomical adventures, Ana’s interests lie in more academic pursuits. She’s well-versed in topics like biology, zoology, and the natural world. She’s also a great conversationalist, fluent in English, French, Croatian.
Ana has several years of experience working as a chef and hostess on many private charters around USVI and BVI. As your chef, she will go the extra mile in accommodating all dietary needs and food sensitivities.
Additional Crew
Depending on your needs, Valinor can add crew members such as:
- Personal trainer, massage therapist, and yoga instructor for a full wellness program.
- Security officer or bodyguard for guests with specific security requirements.
- Dedicated chef and caterer for more complex culinary and nutritional needs.
- Additional hostess and bartender for larger groups.
- Nanny who can organize simple learning exercises and educational lessons for children.
For groups of 6 or more people, a third crew member is mandatory to ensure a comfortable experience.
For groups of 10 or more people, food options may be limited with a crew of only 2. We can serve light breakfast and lunch snacks.
